Biomotivate Addiction Biometrics

Duration: 3 Months | Summer 2020

Over the summer, I interned at Biomotivate: a startup in Pittsburgh using technology and psychology to create solutions for opioid addiction. As the name implies, Biomotivate specializes in creating self-management tools that leverage data to help people strengthen internal motivation and let them know when they need help.

I designed an application for Pittsburgh addiction treatment centers that presents biometric data collected from smart watches worn by opioid addiction patients for clinician use. Along with presenting biometric data with feedback collected through daily surveys, we also tested a risk factor metric derived from a machine learning algorithm.

Due to an NDA, I cannot reveal more about this project.
